The NJDTE Summer Dance Intensive (SDI) program is designed for the advanced dance student aged 13-17. The program concentrates on strengthening the dancer’s technique with daily classes in ballet, pointe, modern and contemporary dance as well as additional classes in Pilates, yoga, improvisation, floor barre, dance history, anatomy, and lectures with Dr. Harlene Goldschmidt on dance psychology. The 2017 program, July 17-August 4 at the NJDTE studios in Summit, NJ, culminates with a final showing on Friday, August 4 from 2.30-4pm.
